Well, to get a feel for the other members here (some I remember from the "other" forum, some I don't) I believe we should post what cars currently consume our lives.

I'll go first.

I am still in HS, and I own a 99 Neon. No, it is not an ACR (Although I wish it was). I purchased it last year for $900 as a non-runner. Fixed it almost entirely in the driveway (Smashed crank position sensor), except for the few things which required dropping of the engine/trans which I do not have room for.

The car is relatively stock, but is fun to drive, even with the 3speed Auto.

I do have certain electrical gremlins every once in awhile (thanks to crappy previous owner), but I still love the car and can't seem to get rid of it.

I will say that the Neon community is great to be a part of, and I have met nothing but great people who are always wanting to help others out with whatever.

Everytime I try to sell this thing, something always comes up as to how I need to keep it.

Currently, I am looking for possibly a Jeep or a nice VW. I need something a big bigger for college next year. Insurance will always be a problem with my age, but I have tried searching for a wrecked SRT4 to swap into a 2000 Base model Automatic 2.0L car. Laughing

My second love is our 79 Corvette. My father purchased her for a mere $5k nearly 5 years ago. It only really needed a good cleaning, an interior re-fresh and new paint.

For simplicity's sake, we are going with a GM Goodwrench 290HP Crate engine with 2.02 heads, hi-rise LT1 Aluminium intake, and LT1 Quadrajunk carb. With the few tweaks on the "base" engine, it should be damn reliable and put ~300 to the wheels, backed by a 700R4 Trans with F41 suspension.

We hope to have it done this winter for my "last spring" at home. This summer we hope to cruise Route 66 in it or possibly another sports car, a dream we have had ever since I can remember..

We race in SCCA Club Racing Time Trials. Our car, 74 Z/28 Camaro, is classed as Street Prepared meaning it could be "street legal" with all safety equipment that came on the car. It has full cage, Butler racing seats, 5 point harnesses, fuel cell, performance springs, Corvette brakes and more. The 350 engine is the original engine having been rebuilt with performance parts for speed and durability. Rev limiter in the distributer is set for 7,200 rpm. Fun car to drive on track and hillclimbs in the Southeast.
